Icefields was a great book to read during the cold and snowy first months of 2025.

I finished reading this at least two weeks ago but have not posted about it yet.

The book takes place in the Canadian glaciers near Jasper in Alberta. A researcher falls into a crevasse during an exploration trip, and when he is close to passing out, he sees something in the ice that he never forgets.

It's a passionate piece of Canadian literature and excellent reading for anyone who loves winter and snow.

I enjoyed it a lot.

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros My rating: 3 of 5 stars I finished reading Fourth Wing and... I hate it! But, I liked it! But I hate it! But it's really cool! But, oh my god! No, don't! First of all, if you don't hate Dain after reading this book, please rethink your actions. There were moments I wanted to physically enter the book and hit him.
