I have finished reading my first book in French!

I read this for my French language class, as suggested by my teacher.

It was entertaining even though it was a simple middle-grade book. The story of Marine was simple but fun to read.

Feels great to have faced the challenge of reading my first book in French, and now I'm ready to read more books in French.

Living all her life in Nigeria, she has never perceived race as a problem, and getting to America, she recognizes herself as black and what race means to the American culture. It is a powerful book. As someone who has immigrated from South America to North America, there were a lot of relatable topics. I have wanted to read immigrant literature for a while, and I feel like I made a great choice to start things up. The only downside is that the book was a little longer than needed. Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros My rating: 3 of 5 stars I finished reading Fourth Wing and... I hate it! But, I liked it! But I hate it! But it's really cool! But, oh my god! No, don't! But, it's okay, I liked it it. Kinda. I guess. It was the biggest book on the internet in 2023, so I decided to give it a shot. First of all, if you don't hate Dain after reading this book, please rethink your actions. There were moments I wanted to physically enter the book and hit him. I liked Violet, but I know a gentleman who recently begged to disagree with this, and omg what is he? Probably a puppy murderer, and as soon, as fucking soon, as he said that he hated Violet, I started hating her myself. But, I like her. And Xaden? Don't even get me started. I am ugh, I don't know.
